Welcome to
Jesup Blair House
A Vision for the Future
A restored and re-enlivened “Jesup Blair Community House” will reactivate the Park which should remain a contemplative natural parkland,
as it was intended in Violet Blair Janin’s will.
The historic Jesup Blair House located on the 14.5 acre park at the gateway to Silver Spring, Maryland will become a vibrant community arts center, hosting a broad range of culturally diverse visual, literary and performing arts events, classes, and outdoor festivals, providing opportunities for all ages and backgrounds to participate in the arts. The restored building will also provide much-needed office and programming space for several Silver Spring and Takoma Park-based nonprofits. The lower level will house the treasured archives of the Silver Spring Historical Society.
